Pain Management
The goal of The Pain Management Center is to help every patient feel relief from pain immediately following a Bonati Procedure. Because these surgeries employ the smallest incision possible, the risk of infection after surgery is near zero. Any discomfort in the area of the surgery is usually minimal, and patients are encouraged to begin walking immediately to start correcting any abnormalities from previous over-compensation for their injury. In some cases The Pain Management Center may administer a diagnostic facet injection to determine the presence of facet disease prior to surgery. In other cases, Epidural Steroid Injections (ESIs) may be used to allow easier movement for the patient and to prevent any further irritation of the affected nerve root. The Pain Management Center at times may also include prescriptions for an antibiotic, an anti-inflammatory, or a mild pain reliever with the patient's discharge instructions.
